Elias Christou

Elias Christou is Director of Elias Christou LLC, based in Cyprus, having trained at Andreas A. S. Aggelides LLC in Nicosia before founding his own practice in 2010. He is admitted as a Barrister at Law with the Cyprus Bar Association and holds a Bachelor of Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

His practice covers family law, criminal law, and civil law, with regular court appearances across civil, criminal, family, labour, rental, contract, and corporate matters. He also advises on land law and immigration matters, and represents foreign investors doing business in Cyprus.

Since 2015, he has served as Attorney & Legal Consultant to the Special Administrator of Laiki Bank, and since 2018 as an investigator for Cyprus's Independent Authority Against Police Violence, acting on behalf of the Attorney General. He was Treasurer of the Famagusta Bar Association for six years (2017–2023), and is a member of the Cyprus Investment Programme, the International Law Association, and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He is also a qualified mediator and GDPR specialist.
